Well this is yet another first for us! Railroad Square Craft House introduced a new menu and invited 10 Tallahassee Foodies members and their +1 for a new menu tasting private event. It was so much fun spending time with fellow foodies, getting to know so many new faces, all while enjoying a nice meal as well as a sample of their new Winter Sangria.
Located in the Railroad Square Art District, the Railroad Square Craft House venue opens up to the newly renovated Art Garden where they host fun events including National Sangria Day, an Ugly Sweater Party Benefiting St. Jude’s Hospital, Landshark CO-ED Cornhole Series, Trick or Treat in The Square, live music, and much more. Their Going Gatsby New Year’s Eve celebration, or their next day Hangover Brunch, are the perfect moments to check them out, if you haven’t done so already!
Their new menu features elevated pub grub with a few tasty showstoppers. There was a display of all new menu items and an intro of each, courtesy of owners Justine May and Andrew Stone, as well as Blake Kerivel of Fresh Prep Co. After a brief chat about their new offerings, we all had a few minutes to tour the table and pick out 3 items we’d like to sample. It was a very tough decision, but somehow we managed!
I didn’t realize I had ordered a cheese platter until my tray of macaroni and cheese, a pretzel with beer cheese dip, and a caprese salad in all of it’s glory appeared before me. My samples were fantastic. I need to find out what cheese they use for the macaroni and cheese because it was creamy deliciousness served in a campfire mug, and the bacon topper was the perfect addition. The caprese salad was fresh and delicious, and I’m craving that soft lightly salted pretzel with an amazing beer cheese dip!
Railroad Square Craft House is a kid friendly venue, and although the kiddos can choose from anything on the menu, they are sure to love the fried PB&J sandwich. This was the one that EVERYONE (all adults) was gushing about at the table and I wish I had added it to my sampling tray. Foodie friends were literally saying, “if you have another sample of this PB&J sandwich in the kitchen, please bring it out!” And bring it out they did!
Focusing on live music, the Railroad Square Craft House venue also features an amazing variety of craft wine cocktails, craft beer on tap, and their latest beverage addition is their super tasty Winter Sangria! Check out their menu for a full list of current offerings.
