Centrale Pizza and Parm is home to many things – my favorite Margherita pizza all time ever, Wino-BINGO, donut and wine pairings (fun girls night), brunch featuring bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys, an amazing wine and cocktail selection including this amazing bubbly cosmo (didn’t love cosmos until I found this one with bubbles), and is one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of Tallahassee.
“Like many in the industry, we pour our hearts and souls into every concept we do. Never have I seen something ravage every pillar of business at the same time like COVID19”, said Matt Thompson, managing parter of Centrale. “Human resources, legal, accounting, operations, and marketing were all getting tested at one time and on certain weeks it still feels that way. We are just happy to be opening again and slinging the pizzas people appreciated.”
I personally am thrilled that Centrale is opening it’s doors once again because the restaurant, food, and friendly staff have been very missed. I root for them. “At the very least, this will end the speculation as to ‘if’ Centrale is coming back. We used the word ‘temporary’ back in March, and we meant it”, said Thompson.
We’re still going strong, in the thick of this pandemic with no end in sight, but to hear of a reopening brings a little glimmer of hope and happiness to this dark cloud moment. “Here’s to the remainder of 2020 and all of Tallahassee’s businesses — especially those in hospitality— to finish strong and have a brighter 2021”, said Matt. A note about hours – Centrale is closing Sundays at 4PM and closed on Monday and Tuesday.
