Here we go… over the next few weeks, we will post exclusive announcements as our friends at Backwoods close one door, and begin to open others. Stay tuned at Tallahassee Foodies, we will release all of the details as they are ready to share!

As you all know, Backwoods is sadly closing their doors to our much loved Backwoods Bistro.  Their final moment, after so many amazing years, will be on Sunday, January 17th, immediately after brunch.  In their honor, they will land in the Tallahassee Foodies Restaurant Blitz spotlight next week because we’d love to fill the Bistro with some Foodies love!

At their final brunch, Backwoods Bistro fill feature a big reggae send off.  Backwoods Bistro manager Stacy Welch shared, “Reggae Sundays are a Bistro tradition and have brought some of our most treasured memories with our guests and friends. It seems only fitting we end our time here in Downtown, Tallahassee with Sway Ja Vu playing us some live music while we enjoy a fantastic brunch with delicious cocktails”.

Get your visits in while you still have the chance. They will remain open Tuesdays – Thursdays, 4pm-9pm, and Friday – Saturday 4pm-10pm, with brunch on Sunday from 11am-3pm for the next two weeks.

Welch said of the Backwoods restaurants, “The Backwoods family is by no means done in Tallahassee. We are so excited to work on a new concept to share with our Tallahassee community.”  More info on their next, new adventure will be released here at Tallahassee Foodies as they finalize plans and ideas.

And there’s no need to fret my foodie friends, Backwoods Crossing will keep serving up greatness, as usual. Their next move, a game changer, will not effect the restaurant we know and love on Mahan Drive.

Over the next two weeks, soak up the Bistro vibes and help their staff say goodbye to what has been a home away from home for so many over the last 8 years.
