Nothing elicits debate more than someone sharing their love for SōDOUGH at our Facebook group. Ohhhhh, the Krispy Kreme lovers come out with their love for a squishy sweet fried donut, the Dunkin Donut lovers come out with their, well, I don’t really pay attention because Dunkin is not for me, so I can’t remember what they have to say.
And then there’s SōDOUGH that’s just in a league of its own, completely different than all the rest. The base is made of lightly sweetened brioche, which takes a lot of people by surprise, and they are smothered in amazing toppings like ganache Chocolate Confetti, Cafe Con Leché, Cereal Bowl, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Lavender Honey and Key Lime Coconut, just to name a few. Honestly EVERY SINGLE TIME someone shares a SōDOUGH donut recommendation at the group, queue the donut debate. I literally count down until it happens. Based on all the chatter about this polarizing donut, I wasn’t sure I would like it, but then I tried it, and then I LOVED it!!! Like the, “I can’t stop thinking about them” type of love.
So now, SōDOUGH expands into the world of cake donuts. All I have to say about that is, 1) I can’t wait to try them, and 2) will this calm the ever entertaining donut debates? I sure hope not! Look for this new batch of donut deliciousness to make their debut at SōDOUGH in September!
