Update – 7/28/2019
“We have had so many customers coming in during dinner or commenting on Facebook asking us to PLEASE just open for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays. The request has been so consistent that we will resume Thursday and Friday dinner services starting on Thursday, August 8 (8/8)!!! We wish we could start back up this week, but we just don’t have the staff available on such short notice. We hope you all come and see us soon! Let us know your thoughts in the comments!”

Finally, some great news for the Tallahassee Foodies community. On June 29th, Ruby’s Diner announced that they were closing their doors, 7 years after opening. Read on to find out what happened next, in their own words at Facebook:
Good news everyone! We are staying OPEN!
After receiving such an outpouring of support from the community and talking things through with my family, we’ve decided to hand over management of the restaurant to my grandson, Maverick. He’s been working at Ruby’s ever since we opened, and he’s committed to providing all of you with good, southern home cookin’.
Come see us tonight for dinner – we’re open until 8. And be sure to stay tuned – we’ll be announcing some exciting changes soon!!!
