Charlie Park Rooftop opened in Spring of 2021 with a menu full of small plates and specialty cocktails. Many may remember the Verde-Rita: Tequila, Avocado, Coconut Water, Lemon, Lime, and Orange Curcacao – a fan favorite from the opening days that makes a guest appearance on special occasions. Since opening we have been the backdrop for 15 proposals, over 100 marketing events, almost 400 guest hosted events, and countless birthdays and anniversaries. Special occasion is our middle name and a badge of honor we wear proudly. It is a privilege to be there for each guest during their most memorable experience and trusted with the most important moments.
From Holiday parties to Legislative Session receptions to summer High School reunions and everything in between – the list goes on and on with guest hosted events throughout the year. The Fireplace Lounge is our most intimate setting with a private door leading to the Terrace. Our Dining Room is surrounded with the unique greenwall from floor to ceiling, private access to the indoor bar, and floor to ceiling windows with electrifying sunlight. The star of the show is of course the Terrace with stunning views of Cascades Park and a unique Tallahassee skyline of the rolling hills and vibrant greenery of the Southside views.
Our dedicated Director of Event Sales (and almost all special occasions), Emily Lee, has been with us since day one. She has worked with each and every one of our guests to make their experience and the event planning process seamless, elevated, and ultimately turn-key. Having helped plan so many events here are Emily’s tips and tricks to planning the perfect Rooftop party…
Let the venue do the work
“A lot of guests are nervous/excited about their events and want them to be perfect. We want that too! Try not to put too much emphasis on the decor and set up, that’s what we’re here for. We have curated the art, the furniture, the plants, the serving pieces, etc. We’ve got the decor covered – you bring the guests, smiles, and floral arrangements. P.S. We have a list of vendors to help with that. :)”
Select a signature cocktail or mocktail
“Nothing says unique like a cocktail or mocktail made just for your event. We have an expert bar team that leaves guests asking for that one drink… that one time… from that one bartender… who added the lemon and put it in a coupe glass… LOL. Luckily for special events I have all previous cocktails documented so remembering for next time is a breeze.”
