FOR THE TABLE HOSPITALITY TO MANAGE ROOF TOP BAR & LOUNGE AT NEW AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT COMING TO CASCADES PROJECT
TALLAHASSEE, FL (September 12, 2019) – For The Table Hospitality (creators of local favorites Madison Social, Township, Centrale, Social Catering & Events, Sō DOUGH Baking Co., and Happy Motoring) has entered into a management agreement with the AC Hotel Tallahassee to help design, conceptualize, and operate the hotel’s rooftop bar and event venue. The AC Hotel Tallahassee will sit at the heart of the Cascades Project – a 5-acre, $150 million mixed-use development positioned across from the prized 24-acre Cascades Park. Poised to breathe new life into the city’s center, the project includes market rate mid-rise residential, retail, restaurant, office and event space, along with the restoration of two architecturally significant buildings and the creation of a community-envisioned historical plaza. The hotel developer, Robert Finvarb Companies is building a 154 room, $30-million, seven-story hotel with more than 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, which would be suitable for conventions, a longtime request of the business community.“We are looking forward to adding the management of the rooftop venue to our portfolio,” said Matt Thompson, Managing Partner of For The Table Hospitality. “Being able to collaborate withRobert Finvarb Companies (developer of the hotel) and his team on how to best compliment their hotel guest experience, but also offer something new to Tallahassee that appeals to locals is a perfect partnership for us.” Though details about the venue have not been released, Thompson did confirm the rooftop venue will have an eclectic tapas style menu as well as an extensive cocktail program. “Brian and Katie McKenna (For The Table Managing Partners) have already started doing reconnaissance trips to New York City rooftop venues for some unique inspiration just like they did for every concept we have developed.” The AC Hotel Tallahassee along with the new Roof Top venue are expected to open in late 2020.
