Note – this was our last restaurant experience, days before dining service in Tallahassee was shut down. I decided to hold off on posting this, waiting for a day that felt good to share. I’m so happy to see that some dining rooms are starting to open up again, and when the time is right for you, I sure hope you’ll visit Little Paris. Our experience was wonderful!

Written February 29, 2020 – We’ve been knocking out our “to try” list in order of proximity from our home, and also based on what we’re in the mood for at the time. Little Paris was top of our list for date night, and we FINALLY made it out there. It’s taking us a bit to get through our list when we only get a date night about every other month, but Little Paris was so worth the wait!

Little Paris is going to be one of those sweet little places that my husband and I frequent for a “wine and dine” date night for years to come. It’s the perfect spot for a family dinner, date night, or an evening with friends. The decor was beautiful, elegant yet casual, and our waiter was so friendly. He helped guide us through the menu and it was nearly an impossible task to narrow down our order.

So many members of our Tallahassee Foodies Facebook group carry on about their French Onion Soup, so that was top of my list, and a must while at a French restaurant. I’ve also been on a goat cheese kick (goat cheese on my pizza, goat cheese salad at Lucilla and Bumpa’s, the goat cheese pesto pasta at Riccardo’s, and the Tremor burger at Vertigo), so I ordered the Goat Cheese Phyllo Purses Salad and my husband had the Lobster Bisque. All was fantastic, but the goat cheese purses were unexpected and stand out amazing! I mean wow, break one of those open and mix it up with your salad for a soft cheese and balsamic wow moment. I never knew I could get so excited over a salad!

For our main courses, I opted for the SautΓ©ed Sea Scallops with Juilianned Vegetables, and my husband went for the Laquered Lamb! Oh my goodness, I’m pretty sure we were making “Mmmmmmm, this is amazing”, sound effects with every bite! His lamb was tender and so full of flavor, with a sauce like none I’ve ever tried before. So different and delicious. My sea scallops were cooked to perfection and so flavorful. Next time we visit, I’m going to have a hard time trying something new rather than order the scallops again!

Before I go into a restaurant, I never mention I’m going at the group because I don’t want anyone there to know I’m showing up. Mostly because I don’t want them to feel like I am some sort of restaurant critic. I’m not, I’m just a blogger that shares the dining experiences I enjoy. With that said, Marie was walking around greeting tables, we recognized each other immediately, and had a nice chat for a bit. She was so super sweet and sent over a complimentary glass of champagne with our dessert. SO NICE!

And for the dessert, I am a chocolate lover and their dessert menu is full of chocolate options. Three out of four desserts were CHOCOLATE, one of which was a sampler! We opted for the Chocolate Fondant and the Selection Mini Sweets sampler and I was in chocolate heaven! I can’t wait to go back soon with girlfriends for champagne and desserts.
