Hey Foodie (and cocktail loving) Friends, it’s officially Summer!!! Welcome to our ninth edition of a brand new series here at Tallahassee Foodies – Boozy Tuesdays.

As the name suggests, every Tuesday this Summer, we’ll be serving up a new summer cocktail recipe to accompany those fresh and tasty dishes you’ll be making at home all season!

To amp up this series and take advantage of what Tallahassee has to offer, I’ve enlisted the help of our favorite pro local bartenders that know EXACTLY how to whip up a custom cocktail.

When I pitched this summer beverage idea to a few local establishments, Proof Brewing Co. jumped in on our “fun in the sun” beverage series!

Proof Brewing Co. is the first craft production brewery in Tallahassee, Florida featuring their refined tasting room and an outdoor beer garden. Whenever I have guests visiting from out of town, it’s the first place I take them for Proof’s amazing selection of beer on tap, cocktails, and their super tasty Brewpub, all in a beautiful, unique setting.

For this edition of Boozy Tuesday featuring Proof Brewing Co., of course we had to go with a “poolside in the summer” beer cocktail recipe!

When chatting with Bryan Smith, Marketing Director for Proof Brewing Company, we thought their contribution to our craft cocktail series should be custom to their brewery, featuring their Key Lime Evil Kiss as a main ingredient!

My guess is that you can mix this recipe up with any of their sour beer options. Maybe Strawberry Lemonade Evil Kiss with a splash of lemon instead of lime. Maybe some muddled strawberries at the bottom! I’ll give them all a try and report back πŸ˜‰ It’s been so fun taste testing my way through this craft cocktail series.
