Last night, we hosted our first-ever Tallahassee Bite Night at Pineappetit, exclusively for our All Access Foodies supporters—Chef Sam and his team delivered an incredible experience! We spent the evening enjoying delicious bites and brews, all courtesy of Pineappetit and Ology Brewing Company.
Our Secret Dinners sell out so quickly that I knew it was time to create another fun way for us to gather and enjoy each other’s company. And thus, the launch of our next exciting venture, Tallahassee Bite Night, was created. I knew Pineappetit would be the PERFECT place to kick off this exciting new series.
Founded by Chef Sam Burgess, Pineappétit is located in the Railroad Square Art District of Tallahassee, Florida. Known for their fresh pineapple bowls and island-inspired dishes, Pineappétit has become a favorite in the community. If you’ve ever seen Chef Sam at a local beer festival, you know his lines are always long—and for great reason!
For our first Tallahassee Bite Night, Pineappétit crafted a special tasting menu featuring Chef Sam’s most popular dishes. To make our moment together even more special, they debuted a brand new dessert exclusive to our event, soon to be added to their menu—we were the first to try their new Caramel Apple and Peach Cobbler Empanadas—these desserts will soon be on their menu, and I have no doubt they will be a huge hit!
The Custom Tasting Menu Included:
- Caribbean Beef Patty – a golden-crusted patty packed with beef, provolone cheese, bell peppers, onions and side of jalapeño lime ranch. Pairing: Ology Sensory Overload
- Chicken Mini Taco – chicken mini taco with cilantro lime rice, pickled red onions, pineapple mango salsa, honey chipotle aioli, jalapeño lime ranch, cojita cheese. Pairing: Ology Rainbow Colored Glasses
- Gourmet Wings & Sweet Plantains – fried signature-spiced jumbo wings honey lemon pepper, sweet honey orange, and chef’s special – carolina gold mixed with sweet ‘n spicy sauce. Pairing: Ology Resolved Enigma
- Mini Rasta Pasta – shrimp with jerk alfredo sauce, penne pasta, and broccoli served with garlic bread. Pairing: Ology Fruits N Scoops: Pina Party
- Dessert Empanadas – Carmel Apple Empanadas, Peach Cobbler
The Caribbean meal was nothing short of amazing—bursting with bold, unforgettable flavors! From the perfectly crispy wings (honey lemon pepper was a personal favorite) to the delicious Caribbean Beef Patty and mini Rasta Pasta, every dish was a standout. Ology Brewing’s craft beer pairings elevated the meal even further, with each brew enhancing the flavors of the dishes.
Chef Sam from Pineappétit and Nick, the Lead Brewer from Ology, made the evening extra special with their engaging presentations. Their insights into the food and drink pairings added a layer of connection that went beyond just a fun, everyday visit to either incredible establishment.
I’m so happy that Ology was able to join in on all the fun—a local brewery always drawing crowds. Nick came out to share his journey into the brewing industry and gave us some great insights into Ology’s impressive lineup. We had the pleasure of tasting four of their amazing brews, each complementing our courses perfectly. I loved revisiting my go-to favorites, Sensory Overload and Rainbow Colored Glasses, and was excited to discover new flavors, with the Piña Party brew stealing the show!
