If you’ve been following Tallahassee Foodies for a while, you know we’ve spent the past several years celebrating the incredible restaurants that make our community special. From neighborhood favorites to chef-driven dining experiences, our local food scene has grown in ways I never imagined when I started this journey.
That’s why I’m so excited to finally share something we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
Tallahassee Restaurant Week is coming to Leon County, bringing together more than 25 locally owned restaurants for a 10-day celebration of everything that makes our culinary community so unique.
Taking place July 17 through July 26, participating restaurants will offer exclusive prix fixe menus created specifically for Restaurant Week. It’s a chance to step outside your usual rotation, revisit an old favorite, or uncover a restaurant that could become your next go-to spot.
What makes this year’s Restaurant Week especially exciting is the timing. Over the last decade, Tallahassee’s dining scene has experienced an incredible transformation. Our city has become home to talented chefs, creative restaurant concepts, exceptional cocktail programs, and cuisines inspired by cultures from around the world. National recognition has only reinforced what many of us have known for years: Tallahassee has become a destination worth exploring through food.
Restaurant Week is designed to showcase that evolution. We are uniquely positioned in the panhandle – whether you’re craving elevated Southern cuisine, fresh seafood, or international flavors, this event highlights the incredible variety our local restaurants have to offer. Every participating restaurant brings its own personality to the table, making each dining experience a little different from the next.
I’m also especially proud that Tallahassee Foodies has partnered with Visit Tallahassee to help bring this event to life. Visit Tallahassee has long shared the story of our destination, while Tallahassee Foodies has focused on telling the stories behind the restaurants, chefs, and local businesses that make our food community so special. Together, it’s a partnership that feels like a natural fit.
More than anything, I hope Restaurant Week encourages people to explore. Try somewhere new. Revisit an old favorite. Invite friends to dinner. Our local restaurants pour their hearts into creating memorable experiences every day, and Restaurant Week is a wonderful excuse to celebrate everything they’ve built.
